Here is the provisional schedule for the Cuba Mountain Trail:
Day 1 - Saturday April 16th - Direct Air France flight to Havana then bus to Santa Clara
Departure from Paris at 10.55am - Arrival in Havana at 2.50pm - Formalities - Regrouping with the participants who come by their own means - Transfer by bus to Santa Clara (4h) - Installation in the hotel - Night at the Los Caneyes hotel.
Day 2 - Sunday April 17: Acclimatization day in Santa Clara
Technical checks - GPS training - Collection of race numbers - Overnight at the Los Caneyes hotel.
D3- Monday 18th April : 1st stage : Manicaragua - Hanabanilla - 22,5 km - 846m+ - Transfer to the start of the stage
Transfer to the start of the stage - Start of the stage at 8am - Rather rolling stage - Activities possible in the afternoon - Night at the hotel Hanabanilla.
D 4 - Tuesday 19 April : 2nd stage - Hanabanilla - El Nicho - 17 km - 1050m+ - Transfer to the start of the stage.
Transfer to the start of the stage by boat - Start of the stage at 7:30am - Stage more on trails with little rolling - Activities possible in the afternoon - Night in bivouac under tent with mattresses at El Nicho.
Day 5 - Wednesday 20 April: 3rd stage - El Nicho - La Gallega - 21km - 681m+ - Departure from the bivouac at 7.30am
Departure from the bivouac at 8am - Rather rolling stage - Overnight in tents with mattresses at La Gallega.
D6 - Thursday 21 April - 4th stage - La Gallega - Topes de Callantes - 18km - 1044m+.
Departure from the bivouac at 8am - Stage rather less rolling - Activities possible in the afternoon - Night at the Hotel Los Helechos.
D7: Friday 22 April - 5th stage - Topes de Callantes - Trinidad - 27km - 1067m
Departure from the hotel at 7am - Rather rolling stage - Arrival on the Plaza Major - Possible visit of Trinidad in the afternoon - Night at the Hotel La Ronda.
D8 : Saturday 23 April : Tourist day - Cayo Blanco by catamaran
Day on a catamaran - Closing evening and prize-giving - Night at the hotel La Ronda
D8 : Sunday 24 April : Havana
Early departure at 7am to Havana by bus - Lunch in Havana - Antigenic test on return - Afternoon and evening free in Havana - Hotel to be determined
D10 - Monday 25 April - Havana
Free morning in the city - Departure from the airport at 1.30 pm - Flight Air France to Paris at 5.10 pm
D11 - Tuesday 26 April - Paris
Arrival in Paris around 8.15am
